The S5 classification is the strictest category when it comes to protective properties for safety footwear. S5 certified boots always have a protective toe and midsole and a closed heel. Other features of an S5 certified boot are oil and slip resistance, antistatic properties and shock absorption at the heel. These boots have been tested and certified with the European standard EN ISO 20345: 2011.
