Gloves that provide protection against thermal hazards (heat and/or fire).
Heat resistant gloves that have been tested and certified according to EN 407:2004 are labeled with the following pictogram.
The nature and degree of protection of the heat-resistant gloves is indicated in six protection areas, namely:
(A) Fire behavior (performance level 0 - 4)
(B) Contact heat (performance level 0 - 4)
(C) Convective heat (performance level 0 - 4)
(D) Radiant heat (performance level 0 - 4)
(E) Small splashes of molten metal (performance level 0 - 4)
(F) Large splashes of molten metal (performance level 0 - 4)

EN 388 2X31B STANDARD. MECHANICAL RISKS
Protection against physical and mechanical hazards due to abrasion, cutting, perforating and tearing.
The protection against mechanical hazards is indicated by a pictogram followed by four numbers (performance levels) where each number corresponds to the test results for a specific risk:
a.Abrasion resistance
based on the number of cycles required to abrade through the glove sample.
b. Cut resistance
based on the number of cycles required to cut through the glove sample at a constant speed.
c. Tear resistance
based on the force required to tear the glove sample.
d. Puncture resistance
based on the force required to pierce the glove sample with a standard size tip.

ANSI CUT A1 STANDARD. AMERICAN STANDARD FOR CUT RESISTANCE
In addition to the European standard, Eureka uses the ANSI test for cut resistance. This is to achieve a higher result range, A1-A9. The result is given in Newtons. The test methods are the same as those in EN388.

IEC 61482-1-2 (MOD. FOR GLOVES) CL.1 STANDARD. ARC FLASH TEST METHOD
Test method: box test. Divided into two classes, with class 2 being the highest attainable.
Class 1 – Protection against arc flash 4kA
Class 2 – Protection against arc flash 7kA
