When working as an electrical technician, the clothing must comply with the EN ISO 11612 standard in combination with IEC 61482-2, because there is a risk of an arc flash. When the work is carried out outside, requirements may be set for visibility, EN ISO 20471. In the case of an electric arc, the clothing is exposed to various dangers. These dangers can be minimized as much as possible through the correct design of the clothing. We recommend an outer layer that complies with PPE 2 with an Arc Rating (ATPV or EBT50 value according to NFPA 70E) above 8 cal / cm². All our arc flash clothing has the Arc Rating value stated on the label on the outside. This makes it easy at WorkwearOnline.shop to choose the right garment for the work you are going to perform.
